| Who is the SCBO ?
CB-radio was introduced in Switzerland in 1973 with the permission to use 28 channels with 5 watt AM. Poor quality of the CB-radio sets and false understanding
of our pioneers resulted in interference of radio and television. Therefore, after four months only the authorities restricted the concession to 12 channels and 100
mW transmitting power. As a result, CB-organisations were founded all over Switzerland and submitted requests for liberalization of CB-radio to the authorities.
Finally, in 1979, the Swiss-CB-Organisation was founded to represent CB-radio to the authorities.
